Description

McCarthy built a 35-foot long, 7-foot high, 10-foot across human form out of chicken wire, covered with clear vinyl. In the performance the artist, dressed in a white diaper-like loincloth, and with his head completely masked, improvised for approximately an hour, inside and outside the constructed form. Mustard, ketchup, a bicycle pump, dolls – numerous and insistent references to organic and sexual elements. (Pritkin and Searcy 1983: 80)
